The Council provides the following services to the community:
Maintain law and order and ensure local security.
Regulate the erection and display of advertisements and advertising devises in public places.
Provision of Firefighting and prevention services for the protection of life, property and natural resources from damages by fire.
Prohibit and control the development and use of land and buildings and the erection of buildings, in the interest of public health, public safety, and the proper and orderly development of the area of the local authority.
Maintain cemeteries and provide for destitute persons who die in the area of the local authority.
Registration of births, marriages and deaths.
Managing of refuse removal, refuse dumps and disposal of solid waste.
