TEN COUNCIL WOMEN RECOGNISED

Solwezi Municipal Council Women today took part in the annual Women’s Day celebrations that are held every 8th March.
In appreciating the key role that the women officers play in propelling service provision, Management has this year recognized and awarded 10 women derived from all the 7 Council departments for their commitment to duty.
Among the awardees for dedication to duty and hardwork Include:

✅️Karen Chitamaluka – Senior Assistant Librarian
✅️Mahongo Mukuma – Socio-economic Planner
✅️Keziah Saviye – Revenue Collector
✅️Sileze Munukayumbwa – Clerical Officer
After the event, Solwezi Municipal Council Town Clerk Mr. Stanley Mbewe with a few Councillors addressed the female staff and applauded them for their dedication to duty indicating that the Council depends on members of staff’s unique expertise to provide quality services to the Solwezi residents.
This year, the Solwezi district Women’s Day commemoration was officiated by Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Honourable Jack Mwiimbu who was in the company of North Western Province Permanent Secretary Col. Grandson Wishikoti Katambi, His Worship the Mayor of Solwezi Mr Remmy Kalepa, Councillors and the District Commissioner.
