Solwezi Municipal Council (SMC) has been awarded Third Prize in the Local Government Category at the Integrity Committees Chief Executive Forum Awards, organized by Cabinet Office in conjunction with the Anti Corruption Commission. The ceremony was held this morning at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka under the theme: “Fostering a Culture of Integrity: Setting the Tone from the Top.”
In the Local Government Category, Chingola Municipal Council claimed First Position, while Lufwanyama Town Council secured Second Position.
Additionally, our Chief Human Resource Officer, Mrs. Deophister Zulu, was honoured with the Director General’s Award for exhibiting exceptional courage and resolve to uphold integrity in the performance of her duties.
These accolades hold profound significance for Solwezi Municipal Council. They affirm that our deliberate efforts to embed a culture of transparency, accountability and zero tolerance for corruption are yielding tangible results.
The recognition reinforces our institutional resolve to lead by example and uphold the highest standards of public service.
