The Community Development and Social Services Committee held its third quarter meeting today to review progress and receive updates on key social and community programs.
The meeting was chaired by Kifubwa Ward Councillor Alice Lubasi, with committee members Councillor Fickson Mwanaute and Councillor Collins Chiwaya in attendance. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor participated as ex-officio members.
Reports were presented by the Director of Housing and Social Services, the District Health Office, and the District Community Development Office. These updates focused on ongoing programs, service delivery and community welfare efforts across the district.
Management was led by the Director of Public Health Mr Castro Chisanga, representing the Office of the Town Clerk.
The Community Development and Social Services Committee provides oversight and guidance on matters affecting community welfare and social development across the district.
