Tapula Phillip has officially been sworn in as the new Councillor for Kimasala Ward, following his victory in the by-election held on Thursday, 10th July 2025.
The swearing in ceremony, held this morning, marks the beginning of his term as a civic leader under the Solwezi Municipal Council. Tapula fills the seat left vacant in April this year and now takes on the responsibility of representing the interests of the Kimasala community.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, His Worship the Mayor of Solwezi, Mr. Remmy Kalepa, congratulated the new Councillor and urged him to quickly get to work. He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in local development projects and encouraged Tapula to build on the progress made by his predecessor.
